May 26, 2012 - ...Is this your feeble attempt at sounding intelligent? If so, you fail miserably at it. I tried to explain in very simple words why marriage exists. Society dictates that the highest level of unity between two people can be symbolized through the act of marriage. Obviously legal marriage also gives both parties a certain amount of legal power over each other, but the main reason people marry is for the symbolic nature it represents: love and dedication to one another.

May 26, 2012 - No, there is no need. The public is quite aware of why not to share needles and how AIDS are spread. If the fcc would target only gays with anti gay commercials, how would normal people know not to share needles with potentially gay people? I see other problems with JeffTheRambler's specific argument, but the "why should marriage exist at all?" question you are asking isn't relevant to the argument that it's unconstitutional to limit marriage to heterosexual couples only.

May 25, 2012 - I hate that people use gay parenting as an issue to protect the future generation. Instead of teaching our kids love, we are teaching them intolerance. Some of them will grow up and hurt others for their feelings. Some will grow up and hurt themselves for their feelings. Why? Because our generation is selfish. Because if some of us don't like it, none of us can have it. If the government really cared about the future generation, they would teach them that love should never have limitations.
