Yet amidst these valiant, desperate people, hope remains. A royal house endures unbroken from father to son. This 70 minute original drama is set in the time before the War of the Ring and tells the story of the Dúnedain, the Rangers of the North, before the return of the King. Inspired by only a couple of paragraphs written by Tolkien in the appendices of the Lord of the Rings we follow Arathorn and Gilraen, the parents of Aragorn, from their first meeting through a turbulent time in their people's history. May 26, 2012 - SOOOOoooooooooo impressed!!! This kept us entertained thorougly. Emotion, drama, action...good dialogue!! really good!! Initially I was skeptical because I'm naturally very critical (I'm a movie buff)... thinking "oh dear an amateur dramatics production" - but i was totally engrossed... I'm guessing your budget was small BUT you even had a cgi troll!!!.......my hat is off to you guys... thanks for doing this.... let me know when the next production is... I's love to be an extra!! :)

May 25, 2012 - I was really impressed with the writing, casting, direction, production values, and performances. Christopher Dane as Arathorn was an excellent choice. Using a couple of paragraphs from Tolkien and, I imagine, a very small budget, a fine film was made. Kudos to all involved!
Sanddramatist Says:
May 25, 2012 - To their credit, the production attempts to maintain continuity with Peter Jackson's trilogy and does so quite successfully. You probably would have complained if they hadn't maintained continuity. This is a fan movie, an homage! It would be odd for a fan movie to embark on a radical revisioning of the materiel!

May 24, 2012 - You know, for a low budget shoot, this is really astounding work. I hope the editors and post guys and actors all got their asses kissed pink, 'cause they earned it.

May 24, 2012 - Thank you from a die hard Lord of the Rings Great Fan. I thought that was very well done. And in joining with the whole story. I do always look for more that JR Tolkien has done but alas this was the first one I have seen other than the Hunt For Gollum. Thank you.
