The documentary film Conviction tells the story of three Dominican Sisters who took the proliferation of nuclear arms in the country personally. These women saw it as their duty, their mission, their religious calling, to break into a missile silo in Colorado, chant, pour their own blood and get jailed for their beliefs. For these sisters, bringing attention to the atrocities of nuclear weapons was a sacred act; for the government it was something much different. The women trespassed on federal property. They made a mockery of our national defense. They broke the law. The religious right labeled them fanatics, the left called them Joans of Arc, and the justice system convicted them of sabotage. Conviction delves head on into all of these contradictions and explores a system that would have three nuns marked as terrorists. Less

Dec 26, 2008 - Major Doug Rocci was banned by the judge in this case, tho he was in charge of "depleted" uranium in Iraq, so the stupid jury was brainwashed by prosecutors. Pastor Ted Haggard. Aint he the mo smoking meth and paying gay hookers $500,000? Fed law says ALL fed traffic tickets are 6 months jail and $5,000 fine, as in national parks. Nuke soldiers should know all nuke bases are prepped for explosive controlled dmeolition by sabotaging nukes with C4, without evacuation plan.

Mar 12, 2008 - Thank You for standing up and doing what's right. The price was steep, yes, but the price of non-action could well be much steeper.

Apr 10, 2007 - I saw these ladies last year at a screening of the film. I bought the DVD & have watched it a number of times, & it always brings tears to my eyes. All 3 of them served time in Federal prison for being peacemakers. You don't have to be Catholic or Christian to appreciate what they are saying. I enjoyed the part where Pastor Ted Haggard says "These ladies have made a grave mistake." There's a man who knows how to make a grave mistake.
