Jul 13, 2011 - Hello. I have a question. Do you have to use R/O water for a reef tank? is it okay if i just get a water conditioner that gets rid of chlorine copper and other toxins?

Feb 23, 2011 - This is just a suggestion. I have recently heard from other people you can go to your a/local pet store and ask to have some of their water saved for you from their next water change . I guess it would be better if you offered them a small price for helping you out. But using this water from matured aquariums will speed up the process if your really eager.

Feb 20, 2011 - Good for you...never usr tap water, always RO or distilled.

Feb 20, 2011 - i too are getting a 12 gallon tank, im really interested in the saltwater fish, they are so beautiful and the coral - amazing, ive researched this quite heavily but its alot to take in, i heard if you use tap water and mix the salt with it, especialy with a new tanks this makes red algea, did you experience this, and how long after you fill your tank up with water can you put coral in and fish, and thats a neat trick you did with the container to mix the new water, thanx great vid very helpful :)
