Nov 24, 2007 - Lydon will always have my respect (a) for saying what needed to be said in 1977 (as a result of which he was subject to a serious physical attack); (b) for being a Gooner.

peppermintwardrobe Says:

Nov 22, 2007 - jeez. he changed so much after the Pistols. I wonder why? Still, he is the most original person on earth.

Nov 19, 2007 - Anger is an energy. He is not wrong there, John Lydon is an awesome lyricist and brilliant man to boot.

Nov 3, 2007 - Album is my favorite PiL release because it is just so much heavier than the other albums. I have been a fan for 21 years now and saw them three times live in the 80's. PiL are probably one of the best bands to come out of the 80's and the most fogotten. This song just plain rocks.

brhewitt Says:

Oct 31, 2007 - blackdice, u r so right. I never liked the pistols, but absolutely loved pIL. Can't find video or recording of "The Suit", though - another excellent song. Lastly, luv him or hate him, J. Lydon was a force and extremely charismatic performer. Not too many like that today (any?)

Andist Says:

Oct 29, 2007 - Jah Wobble would probably have written the music in PIL

Kagemusha22 Says:

Oct 29, 2007 - Essentially the writer of the music for the Pistols was Glen Matlock, John Lydon had no part in writing the music. (just the lyrics) I'm not 100% if that was the case with John in PiL, but it means that the music will vary greatly if the music is composed by a different musician (which is obvious), as they'll have a different approach, and style in mind. Plus John lyrically is allowed to mature.

blackdice23 Says:

Oct 28, 2007 - That makes two of us, as I'm having trouble working out what you're trying to say. I'm aware of who was in the Pistols and PIL, it was a rhetorical question.
