Oct 15, 2011 - Well LVL CHG uses the auto throttle so its automatic. For example in a maximum thrust take off, when climbing one decreases or increases their attitude to maintain a certain airspeed, which is LVL CHG when done automatically. But in level flight one controls speed using throttle levers, which can be done manually with the throttle levers or automatically.
