December 1998 Surrounded by his office bodyguards a western diamond dealer knows what works for his trade: "The business is better when there is war...we have our security so it is easier for us." Surviving on erratic food aid the 15,000 internally disPlaced refugees are malnourished and desperate. Now, in the past week UNITA has shot down 2 UN planes forcing them UN to recall its peackeepers. Jan 8, 2012 - This was back in 1998, a lot has changed since then. I know they cleared the country of illegal immigrants who were mining diamonds. The whole blood diamond issue is not as bad of a problem now as it was then when the war was going on.

The Africans should be able to have the right to freedom and speech just like us they shouldnt be treated like crap. they should have the right to get food among other things such as health care. they shouldnt get beat up or get their arms or legs chopped off just because they arent doing something right . they are human beings just like us, so whats the difference?

Dec 3, 2009 - What's worst is the cynicism of Mr. President Dos Santos who is still dividing the country economically for his own family! It is obvious that Dos Santos needs the use of force to impose fear over the population to keep on dividing the country's wealth for his offspring. But for those who live or have lived in Angola, knows the growing dissatisfaction that hovers over the country, from the illiterate to the literate alike. What will be the result after Dos Santos' gone? Only God knows.
