There's several sites posted to the origins of Hip-Hop and b-boying but I was actually in New York in the seventies where it originated. I did notice some similarities btwn b-boying and Capoeira (which is a form of martial arts/dance utilized by African slaves "imported" to Brazil) but yeah as far as I recall, actual b-boyin began with African Americans from the Bronx NY (Shout Out to Bronx Peeps!)
